Hi, Sorry for that wacked out title, I just want it to be searchable by people who really need it. Let’s get to the point. My friend was trying to install one of those annoying virtual sales agents on his website using his yahoo hosting account. After corresponding with the manufacturer of the software, they adamantly stated that the database hostname was “localhost” where as it is not. Had it not been for the innumerable headaches I have endured being a customer of Yahoo, I would have not known either, the correct setting for this is “mysql” and not “localhost” . I hope this really helps someone out there frustrated trying to set up an SQL database for an PHP script, like wordpress or phpbb or vbbulletin.
